Lesson Seven: Feng Shui and Children

1. Southeast I Ching Gua (Wen Chang Position)
The I Ching Gua represents the eldest daughter in the family and is also the Wen Chang position, which affects children’s learning and thinking. Keeping the southeast area tidy can prevent children from being distracted; placing positive and uplifting creations and Wen Chang pens can help children enjoy learning and speaking. If a child tends to lie, placing calligraphy can guide them to be knowledgeable and polite.

2. Western Gua (Affecting Young Girls in the Family)
If the west side protrudes, it symbolizes that the young daughter’s academic performance is good, but it may lead to early romantic relationships. If there is a missing corner in the west, the young girl may have poor health and be unsociable. If the toilet is in the west, the young girl may be talkative, argumentative, and spendthrift. The solution is to place a yellow tablecloth under the TV to resolve the feng shui issue of fire overcoming metal.

3. Northeastern Gen Gua (Affecting Young Boys)
The Gen Gua represents a mountain, symbolizing willpower. If there is garbage in the Gen Gua, the young boy may have poor health; if the toilet is in the Gen Gua, the young boy may be rebellious. Feng shui issues in the Gen Gua may lead to a lack of perseverance and determination in children.

4. Eastern Zhen Gua (Affecting Children’s Laziness)
Feng shui issues in the Zhen Gua may lead to laziness in children. It is not advisable to place items with negative implications, heavy objects, or metal crafts.

5. Northern Kan Gua (Affecting Intellectual Development)
The Kan Gua affects the intellectual development of children in the family. Avoid placing artificial mountains and other crafts in the Kan Gua to prevent affecting children’s intelligence.

6. Key Points for Children’s Room Layout
– Layout: Children’s rooms should be square, which is beneficial for children’s health and character development.
– Green Plants: Choose plants like cloud bamboo and wealth bamboo, avoid cacti and mimosa, and the number of green plants should not exceed three.
– Floor: Avoid uneven floors to prevent affecting studies and safety.
– Study Arrangement: The desk should not face the door directly, avoid mirrors facing the desk, and there should be support behind.
– Crafts: Avoid trapezoidal, deformed, or broken crafts, and choose those with positive implications.

7. Feng Shui Tips for Beds
Avoid “beam pressure,” meaning there should be no protruding ceilings or other structures above the bed to prevent affecting health and mental health.

8. Desk and Study Arrangement
– Item Height: Items on the desk should not exceed the height of a person’s head to avoid creating pressure.
– Room Shape: Avoid using deformed rooms as studies to prevent affecting learning and emotions.
– Seating: The desk seat should not face the door to avoid nervousness and a lack of security.

9. Feng Shui Tip: Enhancing Memory
Place a white vase with four wealth bamboos in the southeast I Ching Gua to help improve memory.

By adjusting the feng shui layout as mentioned above, parents can create a home environment more conducive to the growth of their children, promoting their physical and mental health and academic progress.
